The need to wear masks indoors (in most cases) in Spain ends tomorrow.

The Spanish Council of Ministers has now approved this Tuesday the royal decree by which the masks will no longer be mandatory indoors (in most cases)

 

It is exactly 700 days  since the order regulating its mandatory use was published 

 

The decision will come into effect tomorrow, Wednesday the 20th of April. 

 

There will be some exceptions.  

 

You will still need to wear a mask on transport and in medical centres, including chemists. 

 

Full details of where the government will recommend the wearing of masks will be published tomorrow. 

 

Businesses will be allowed to decide if they want staff and customers to wear masks if they feel at risk.
