The Canary Islands to review measures to stop Covid rebound, including using covid certs for indoors.

The Canary Islands today will review using extra restrictions in the run-up to Christmas. 

 

More tourists will visit the Islands over the holiday period.  In the past seven days, 100 covid cases were imported from another country.  The highest of any region in Spain. 

 

The Government may again ask for the use of Covid certs/tests to access Bars, Restaurants and Clubs. 

 

The courts have previously not allowed the use of certs/tests. 

 

The need to show covid certs/tests at tourist accommodation check-in may be reintroduced. 

 

Restriction levels are due to be reviewed today.  All islands are currently at Level 1 except Fuerteventura which is at level 2.
