The Canary Islands are expecting 15 million tourists in 2022.

The Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce for the Canary Islands has said if no new misfortunes occur, the islands could receive 15 million tourists in 2022. 

 

In 2021 the islands received 6.7 million international and mainland Spain tourists. 

 

18.1 million scheduled airlines seats are currently available from airlines flying to the Canaries for 2022.  This is 2.2% more than pre covid 2019.

 

There are 10,583,000 airline seats available from April to October 2022. 615,000 or 6.2% more than the same period pre covid 2019.

 

Air capacity from the UK is also 6.4% higher for summer 2022 v summer 2019

 

Jet2 are forecasted to bring 1.2 million UK tourists to the Canary Islands in summer 2022.   That would be 30% more than summer 2019
