Spanish Hotel prices drop by 24% in the first quarter but not in the Canary Islands.

The average daily price for a Hotel room for the Canary Islands remained static for the first 3 months in 2021 compared to the same period in 2020 at €115 per night.  This is despite hotels running at occupancy levels of just over 20%.

Hotel prices in Spain dropped by an average of 24%.

Barcelona Hotels discounted by 40%.

Hotels prices in the Balearics increased by 20%.

Not all Hotels in the Canary Islands were open and this may be helped to hold prices.

Spain went into lockdown in the middle of March 2020.
