Spain will stop requiring non-EU visitors to have Covid vaccination certs within days.
The Spanish Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism announced the change during an interview with Onda Cero today.
Reyes Maroto said travellers would only have to present a negative test.
In a matter of days, we will eliminate a restriction that could be discouraging tourists from outside the European Union from visiting us: we will stop requiring the vaccination certificate to allow them to enter with a negative test.
The minister said the negative test could be a PCR test done no less than 72 hours prior to arrival or a negative Antigen test less than 24 hours before arriving in Spain.
Full details of when this comes into effect are expected soon. It is advisable to wait for full details before you book if you are not vaccinated.
