The latest accommodation prices charged for accommodation in the Canary Islands are now available.  

Which island was the cheapest for a hotel room or an apartment?  

On which island did prices go up or down v the same month the previous year?

This report is from the latest available price report for January 2021. 

Overall Occupancy in January 2021 by island.

The small island of La Gomera had the highest occupancy in December at over 23.4%.

Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura did the best of the big four Islands with an occupancy of  22.5%.

Lanzarote was the worst-performing island with an occupancy of just 12.4%. Lanzarote was on Level 4 Covid restrictions in January.  The highest of all islands.

Cheapest average daily price for a hotel room by island.

Canary Islands cheapest accommodation.

La Palma was the cheapest island for a hotel room with an average daily price of €58.10.

Lanzarote was the cheapest of the big four islands with an average daily price of €71.00.

Tenerife was the most expensive island for a hotel room with an average daily price of €98.90.

Cheapest average daily price for an Apartment by island.

La Palma was also the cheapest islands for an apartment with an average daily price of  €45.20.

Lanzarote again was the cheapest of the big four islands with an average daily price of  €49.60.

Gran Canaria was the most expensive island for an apartment with an average daily price of  €54.40.

The two smaller islands of La Palma and El Hierro were the only islands that saw a price increase compared to January 2020.

Lanzarote saw the largest discount with prices 20.3% less than January 2020.
