August arrivals Canary Islands.

August 2020 was another tough month for the Canary Islands.  Some key markets have imposed COVID 19 quarantine restrictions on their citizens returning from the Islands.  The collapse of the UK market is significant due to its importance to the islands.

The summer Spanish mainland market held up better then other markets.   Currently the Islands are looking at the possibility at setting up safe travel corridors with some of their major markets.  This may include testing at departure and arrival.  The main concern now is to salvage as much as possible the  important winter season.
